McPike Steps Down From UW Board Of Regents

McPike Spent 28 Years In School District

Milton McPike is stepping down from the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents after spending four years on the board.

McPike spent 28 years in the Madison Metropolitan School District.

He served as principal of Madison East High School for 23 years from 1979 to 2002. His leadership reached across a racial divide and brought young people and their parents together in transforming the school culture.

McPike also played in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers.
