Jacobson, 14, is one of 59 to move on to day two of the competition.

She advanced by correctly spelling the words "danceable," "antioxidant" and "myrmecologist."

Because she's 14, this year is the last time she's eligible for the competition. Last year, Jacobson left in the seventh round.

The semifinals will air on ESPN at 9 a.m. on Thursday. The finals are set for 7 p.m. on Thursday and will air live on ABC.
