Compare Prices Online To Get The Best Deal
Get An Even Better Deal By Comparing Comparison-Shopping Web Sites
Making sure you get the best deal when shopping isn't easy.
But there are few Web sites you can check out for some help. The sites compare prices for you.
We used Bizrate.com, a popular comparison site, to search for a popular digital camera. We found one store selling it for $648 and others selling it all the way up to $1,000.
Price comparisons show a lot of room between prices even on smaller items, such as DVD and CD players.
"If you just go generically to a site that's you're favorite brand, your chances of getting the best price are probably pretty slim," said Rodney Roth of Berbee. "But if you go to a site like a Bizrate.com and do a little more research, I'm sure there's a deal out there to be found."
And now, there's even more incentive to find it -- some sites now use dynamic pricing, which shows different prices to different customers.
"It's based upon a behavior the consumer might have or past behaviors of other consumers," Roth said.
A new study shows shoppers that compare prices will pay 40 to 50 percent less than those that don't.
And if you really want the best deal, you can compare comparison sites.
