NCAA Game Summary - Minnesota At Wisconsin

(Sports Network) - P.J. Hill ran for 117 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead the Wisconsin Badgers to a 35-32 victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers in a Big Ten clash at Camp Randall Stadium.

Dustin Sherer completed 18-of-31 passes for 242 yards and a score for the Badgers (6-5, 3-5 BigTen), while Isaac Anderson grabbed six passes for 114 yards in the win.

Adam Weber threw for 202 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another to lead Minnesota (7-4, 3-4) in the loss, while Brandon Green caught five passes for 80 yards and a score.

The Badgers struck first in this one, as Sherer completed a two-yard toss to Garrett Graham early in the first quarter to give Wisconsin a 7-0 lead.

The Golden Gophers responded early in the second period with a four-yard strike from Weber to Green.

Minnesota took a 14-7 lead just minutes later, as Weber found Broderick Smith for a 43-yard completion.

The Golden Gophers extended their lead midway through the period following a six-yard scamper from Weber.

The Badgers added a 47-yard Philip Welch field goal and a one-yard plunge from Hill during the third period, pulling to within 21-17.

Minnesota opened a 24-17 lead late in the frame following a 30-yard kick from Joel Monroe.

Hill found the end zone once more for the Badgers early in the final period of play, a one-yard plunge that tied the contest at 24.

Troy Stoudemire then fumbled the ensuing kickoff into the end zone for a safety, and the Badgers led, 26-24.

The Badgers added another safety just minutes later with a Mike Newkirk sack of Weber in the end zone.

A five-yard run by John Clay late in the frame gave the Badgers a 35-24 advantage.

Weber completed a 13-yard strike to Shady Salamon and that was followed by a two-point conversion run from Salamon to cut the Wisconsin lead to 35-32. The Badgers, though, were able to hold on in the final minutes and earn a three- point victory.
