WISC-TV and its affiliates launched the Time for Kids program more than 21 years ago as part of a long-term venture to be informed, involved, and in touch.
Time for Kids (TFK) became the franchise brand name that Morgan Murphy Media utilizes to focus on important community issues regarding children and families.
Together each year, the editorial and marketing staffs of Morgan Murphy Media and campaign sponsors address relevant topics that focus on youth and family issues such as: bullying, kids going green, fuel for kids, safety, and currently, obesity.
As part of the present movement against childhood obesity, TFK, The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, and Dean Health Systems present Shop with a Dietitian on Saturday, October 13th.
Between 9:00am and 11:00am children and their families can stop by Miller and Son’s Supermarket in Verona at 210 South Main Street to learn healthy shopping habits.
Licensed dietitians will help kids read nutrition labels, answer questions and discuss food’s vital role in healthy living.
Additionally, participants can enter to win various prizes including Wisconsin cheese baskets, Bo Ryan autographed basketballs, Badger hockey tickets, gift cards, and more!
