Strong storms possible tonight

Forecast for June 22/23, 2017

A cold front will pass through Wisconsin tonight with numerous showers and thunderstorms. Some storms could become strong or severe with hail, strong winds and locally heavy downpours possible. Storms will end late tonight with temperatures falling to the lower 60s by early Friday morning.

Cooler and less humid air will settle across the region on Friday. Skies will be variably cloudy and it will be breezy with highs in the middle 70s. A weak trough of low pressure will nudge into southern Wisconsin Friday evening with a spotty shower possible. Skies will be variably cloudy for the night, and temperatures will fall to the middle 50s by early Saturday morning.

Over the weekend, it will be variably cloudy and cooler with chances of showers or isolated thunderstorms each afternoon. Highs will only reach the upper 60s on both Saturday and Sunday.

Monday will be partly sunny and seasonably cool with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon. Highs will be near 70 degrees. Tuesday will be partly sunny and milder with highs in the upper 70s. Wednesday will be increasingly cloudy, breezy, warm and more humid with highs near 80 degrees. A chance of showers and thunderstorms will develop late Wednesday or Wednesday night.

Thursday will be variably cloudy, warm and humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs will reach the middle 80s. Showers and thunderstorms will come to an end early next Friday with skies turning partly sunny. It will be a warm and humid day with highs in the lower 80s.

Next Saturday will be variably cloudy, warm and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will reach the lower 80s. Rain will end early next Sunday with partly sunny skies developing. It should be a cooler and less humid day with highs in the middle to upper 70s.
