Forecasters Say Spring Weather Is Coming

MADISON, Wis. -- Heavy snow and recent rain is threatening to delay planting for Wisconsin farmers.Many said that they're eager to get out in the fields, which they describe as soggy and saturated.Dan Stokes farms in east central Wisconsin. Stokes said thatif planting is delayed much longer, it could mean higher corn prices this summer and fall. That cost could be passed on to the consumer.Stokes said that for the dairy farmer, corn and feed will cost a lot more.This week's weather should help. Forecasters expected highs in the 60s, with just a chance for rain later this week.
