UPDATED: 2:18 pm CDT March 28, 2008

The World Dairy Expo is locked in for three more years in Madison, according to Dane County officials.

The show has been in Madison for the past 42 years, WISC-TV reported.

On Friday, Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk announced a new agreement.

As part of the deal, there are plans to expand the current space to allow more participants to attend the annual event.

Close to 2,500 cows were displayed last year at the show, which drew 67,000 visitors from 90 countries. This year's expo will run from Sept. 30 to Oct. 4.
