  • Temperature...highs in the upper 80s to low 90s this afternoon with heat index values reaching 95 to 104. The highest heat index values will be in the southeast. This will make 4 consecutive days with heat index values over 95.
  • Impacts...a heightened risk of heat related illness is possible...especially for those working outdoors or those without air conditioning. People on certain medications will be more susceptible to the heat...and should take extra precautions to remain cool. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible.
