- Wind chill values...lowest readings 16 to about 22 degrees below zero...gradually improving through 6 am.
- Impacts...wind chills this low can cause frost bite to unprotected skin in a matter of minutes. Hypothermia becomes a concern if precautions are not taken. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If you must venture outdoors...make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
